Starter: 

Yesterday, we read the prologue- 2 of Beowulf.
What is one question that you have about the text or a related idea.
Write the question on a sheet of paper, so we can answer each other question.

Make sure to make a copy and place it in your folder.
Add the activities in the boxes provided.

Activity:

1. Read Beowulf


Read chapters 3-4.

Discussion Questions
1- How is Beowulf characterized?
2- How are the Geats characterized?
3- How do these characteristics shape the way we create their identities?
4-  Identify and describe the conflict.

2.  Partner Read
With a partner, read sections 6-7
At the end of each section, write a one-sentence summary.
As you read each section, create a visual to depict the text.
You may use storyboardthat or draw it by hand. 
You must have one cell per chapter.
Include dialogue where necessary.


3.  TPEQEA

In a TPEQEA paragraph respond to the prompt below:
Analyze how Beowulf's response to conflict helps create his identity. 

Make sure to use evidence from the poem.
